English at Camp F.A.C.E
Our counselors speak multiple languages and communicate in both English and German (German only when needed). We believe that the best way to learn a language is through play, sports, and daily camp activities — naturally and without pressure.
- English is the main camp language.
- Kids learn English passively through counselors and daily activity vocabulary.
- No aggressive summer learning — it should be fun!
- Mantras and chants during Color Games are in English.
- Activity rules are explained in both English and German.
- A great opportunity for kids to learn English while being active outdoors.
Language Partner Locking (LPL)
Choose a camp partner who speaks a different language than you — become each other’s language buddy.
- Real conversations, real learning — practice your new language in everyday camp life.
- Cultural exchange — discover new traditions, perspectives and ways of thinking.
- Confidence boost — easier to overcome shyness with a supportive partner.
- Learn naturally — vocabulary and pronunciation grow through games and shared experiences.
- Mutual support — both partners teach and learn at the same time.
- Perfect for English & German speakers — improve language skills without pressure.
- Friendships for life — connections that last beyond camp.
